Alive and kickin’, as it happens. After a long hiatus from my personal internet access (approximately eight months), I have finally returned to a camaraderie of cheering fans. Okay, maybe not, but definitely a lot of people going “who the hell are you again?” I cherish the idea that they at least care to relearn the experience that is ThanatosAngel.
So what did I do over this proposed eight months? Well I wasn’t always slacking, as I actually managed to complete that book I had mentioned only so long ago. It took me a long time to write, and even longer to develop (since I was at least fifteen, I’m twenty-one now) and I think I may have written something very entertaining and different but not-too-different for the fantasy crowd. Now I’m starting on a completely different book with a different setting, one I like to call “science fantasy,” in the sense that magic is completely replaced with science. I’m currently thinking of putting it out there first when it’s done, as so far I think it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever written, even that book I finished (which is really long).
Now that I’m done verbally masturbating myself, I want to tell you scant few people that I’m moving forward now that I’ve got the ‘net back on my side. In my terms, “moving forward” means spending more time surfing the net for whatever (read: porn, news, forums, and more porn) than actually writing anything. Think of David Duchovny in his new show Californication, only far less sex for me (on a side note, that show is actually good, better than I expected). The most I’ll probably be doing is recording recent stuff you probably don’t care about here and bitching about it. The one thing I will not be mentioning is Britney Spears, because let’s face it people, she’s done.
What am I doing now? Well besides halting on actually writing my new book and instead coming up with new ideas for it like wildfire, I’m playing Halo 3. I just beat the single-player campaign in a day on
Sunday: Dexter, Brotherhood
Monday: Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman, Weeds, Californication (whew)
Tuesday: Reaper (those CW bastards killed my Veronica Mars, but Reaper is cool)
Wednesday: Bionic Woman,
Thursday: Smallville, Supernatural (I will somehow squeeze Pushing Daisies in there, possibly DVR)
Friday: Stargate Atlantis
Saturday: Bleach
Now if you’re wondering why the vampire show Moonlight is not on my list of Friday, it’s because I’ve seen the pilot, and I was not impressed. My impressions were already quite low when I heard the premise (“Vampire private investigator in LA who fights evil and is in love with a blonde chick”) and immediately had shades of a much better show called Angel, which was exactly that, only…better. What also hurt me was Sophia Myles speaking in an American accent, which was horrible. Clearly they also saw the irony of her playing in another vampire-related project, since she starred as a vampire in Underworld (and promptly vanished in the sequel). Sophia is the one blonde I could think of in the world who could possibly play one of my new book’s lead characters in a movie, but I digress…
But seriously, Angel’s premiere alone looks like it’s going to kill this show and then some. It’s too much drama and romance for a vampire show without more humor into the mix ala Angel, and it’s missing the unique mythology and demonology behind it. If it kills in ratings, it’s because of the vampire premise. A bright note, however, Jason Dohring, also known as Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars is in this show, and while he’s still playing a sour fuck-you-up type, even more than ever he reminded me of David Boreanaz. Had he been the lead, this show would have killed me even more, but it may have been slightly better. Oh, and it was too predictable…but I think I’ve given enough time to that show already.
I think I should conclude this now, so in conclusion, I’m glad to be finally back.
So to celebrate, I figured I'd give YouTube vids a chance to star on my blog (yeah, besides posting in like...forever)!

Soul Alignments
There are three alignments any individual must take in life. These fit within a person’s personality, and even if they don’t follow an alignment ezactly, they are still considered within that path. Most people, however, will end up being balanced. Those psychics who are extreme in their alignment and have achieved their higher calling through extensive training become adepts, and their aura color changes to indicate their adept status. These adepts are often feared for the power they wield, though they are no means invincible.
The Path of Order (Law)
Those who follow this path express self-discipline and obedience to authority. Those who are mislead on this path tend to be close-minded when it comes to the concepts of “good and evil,” believing that all inhabitants of Israith can be labeled as either and not “neutral.” They see only in “black and white” without shades of grey. This makes them ignorant and dangerous, and commonly more prejudice against others. They also adhere to old traditions, fearing change as change can be sudden and hard to bear, ruining the ideals most were used to live with. However, they are not directly opposed to providing for others like Balance, which is what their idea of government is supposed to do. Their respect for authority is often taken to the extreme, with followers usually taking orders without question, even if that order requires them to do something immoral. On the bright side, those who are more in tune with this path tend to be more altruistic than the other paths, keeping in with the idea that everyone must be supported by others when in need. Usually those who follow this path are religious.
Those who follow this path have blue auras (Blue Path), while adepts have white (White Adepts).
Relation to Balance: Mildly distrustful of Balance for the reason that they pledge complete neutrally, something unheard of to followers of Order. They do not believe in “equality” with Chaos. They do, however, agree with the balanced notion that one should not tamper with fate, as bringing about change could be detrimental to society.
Relation to Chaos: Absolutely despise those of Chaos, as they threaten everything they believe in. They demonize the chaotic within their ranks and treat them with extreme prejudice, going so far as to imprison and execute those who openly follow that path. Rebels are not tolerated within the path of Order. Chaotic followers are all about change, which those of Order do not want.
The Path of Balance (Equality)
Those who follow this path do not “choose sides,” but choose to follow whatever path they are given. They feel that acting out in any such manner, in the case of the other two paths, are in the long run detrimental to the natural balance of Israith. Because they think with clearer minds, they tend to be the more logical minded of the three paths. Those who follow Balance tend to believe more in the concept of Fate, and that it should not be challenged or else there will be consequences. Cause and effect comes in to play here, for example, giving a beggar some money. By giving the beggar money, what have you accomplished exactly? The beggar may spend the money on drugs, or worse yet, be mugged and killed for the money you just gave him. In turn, you have only harmed him more by attempting to help. Change, however, is unavoidable, but it must only happen in the path towards the ultimate fate.
Those who follow this path have green auras (Green Path), while adepts have indigo (Indigo Adepts).
Relation to Order: They care very little for followers of Order because they have proven many times to be arrogant and hard to work with. However, they prefer Order over Chaos because they believe that Chaos can be exploited more easily for bad reasons. With that said, they do not believe in “good and evil,” believing that such thinking leads to prejudice. Instead, they believe everyone has the capacity for “good and evil” within them, and no one is one or the other.
Relation to Chaos: They are fearful of Chaos due to the actions of those who have exploited that path. While same care nothing more for those of the Red Path, others choose to be antagonistic towards them in much of the same matter as those of Order. They completely disregard the safety of others through their selfish actions and therefore are seen as a liability.
The Path of Chaos (Anarchy)
Those who follow this path seek personal freedom, self-reliance and empowerment, and are usually impulsive in their actions. On the downside, being chaotic can include recklessness and resentment toward legitimate authority. They praise strength over weakness, believing that all are oppressed and must be free in order to be strong. This is the easiest of the three paths to exploit, as a chaotic person may use it to justify bad actions, such as cold-blooded murder for money or rape. The exploitation of the weak is not within the path of Chaos. The idea is to constantly challenge yourself and others in order to strengthen and evolve. An example of this is instead of killing a merchant and his slave; you tell the slave to fight its master for its freedom. If the slave is stronger than the master, then the master is weak and should be the slave instead. This is the same concept as survival of the fittest.
Those who follow this path have red auras (Red Path), while adepts have black (Black Adepts).
Relation to Order: Dislikes Order because of their extreme prejudice towards them, as well as their heavy support for governing bodies. They are sick of their “holier-than-thou” attitudes and would love nothing more to prove them to be the weaklings they believe they are. Those on the Blue Path don’t want change and Chaos is all about constant need for change.
Relation to Balance: Dislikes Balance since through their fear of those who exploit Chaos for their own gains, most share similar distrustful sentiments towards Chaos as those of Order. Also, those of Balance only believe that change should occur only through fate, which is wrong to those of Chaos, who not only want change, but believe that fate should be avoided. They believe that each person should have a say in how their life shall end.
So what do you think? Keep in mind that these alignments have nothing to do with "good and evil," you can have a bad follower of Order and a good follower of Chaos when you get down to it, and I delve into this within my stories. Personally, I believe I follow the Red Path, though not to any extreme. With that said, which alignment do you think you more closely belong to?
So the PS3 is officially here, and boy did it make it's presence known. Within a week before launch, people were already lining up in front of stores to get one, one Best Buy going so far as to tell them to leave. Some of the people in line had quit their jobs just to be there, and let's not forget the shootings and muggings that had gone on too. I've only just heard about the rioting. I know that here in Atlanta, people had to be suffering through the sudden bad weather. Reminds me why I don't like waiting in console launch lines.
But was it worth it in the end? Just how many of those people in line got one, with stores claiming they only had six or eight consoles to sell? I cannot imagine everyone was lucky then. And then, as expected with any launch, we have the technical issues abound. Different publications like Time Magazine and Next Generation haven't been so nice on the PS3 lately either, telling buyers to hold their money for now until the big guns come out. That's obviously not a good thing for the PS3. Let's see what happens with the Wii launch tonight and tomorrow.
Anyway, congratulations to everyone who successfully scored a PS3, hope you weren't in danger trying to get it or sacrificed anything for it (besides your hard-earned cash) and I hope you have fun with it (or sell it, whatever your motive was). Maybe someday in 2009 we can play each other in Resistance. Good times...
